Ashley Nu’u Purcelli

Coaching Experience

Ashley was the Program Head Volleyball Coach at Horizon High School for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. She led the Hawks to a Regional appearance both seasons. She has coached at various college camps and clinics throughout the years.

Playing History

Ashley experienced success in her volleyball prep career as a two-time 5A Colorado State Champion and USAV National Champion, Juniors, Open Division. She was also a USA Women’s Junior National Team Member in 2001 and 2002, captaining the latter.

Ashley played at the University of Colorado and earned All- Big 12 First Team and All-American honors in her final season at CU. She was selected to the 2006 USA Women’s National Volleyball A2 Team as the lone representative of the Big 12 Conference. In 2006, she was inducted into the Sportswoman Colorado Hall of Fame.

Ashley was invited to the Olympic Training Center and had a short stint with the USA Women’s National Training Team in 2007. 

Personal

Ashley earned a degree in psychology. She has been married 16 years to Joshua Purcelli and homeschools her four children.
