Kyle Cox

Kyle Cox joined the NORCO volleyball staff after rejoining the Colorado State women’s volleyball coaching staff in 2022 and has held the roles of volunteer assistant coach, practice player, and camp counselor over his four-year time there. Cox also has a background as a club volleyball coach, working for Rocky Select Volleyball Club (CO), MVP United (IA) and Rocky Elite Volleyball Club (CO), and has tournament director and management experience working with Triple Crown Sports. He also spent time coaching women’s volleyball at the four-year NAIA level at Briar Cliff University where he was the Assistant Volleyball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. Kyle started his private lesson business in 2016 and has been instrumental in the development of many student-athletes who have gone on to compete at the collegiate level.

Cox was a collegiate setter and participated on teams in the NCAA and NAIA at Briar Cliff University, Morningside University and Ottawa University and as a member of the Colorado State University men’s volleyball team over his college career. During his playing career he was a team captain on every team he played on. His athletic accolades go on to include, GPAC Setter of the week 15 times during his career and he was also the GPAC Player of the Week nine times during his collegiate career. Beyond that he was named to several All-tournament teams including the GPAC All-Tournament team in 2021-2022.

Cox received his Bachelor’s Degree from Morningside University in Mass Communications and Marketing in 2021. 

For the 2023-2024 season Kyle will be the head coach of 18 Black.
