NORCO Welcomes Coaches Mashallah Farokhmanesh 'Farokh' & Cindy Fredrick

Cindy has thirty year of coaching D1. She and Farokh led 3 different programs to the NCAA Tournaments a total of 11 times; once at Weber State, once at UNLV and 9 times at Washington State. Their 1996 and 2002 squads at Washington State went to the Elite 8, and their 1997 team advanced to the Sweet 16. The UNLV team beat #24 Utah in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2016. They retired in 2017 as the winningest coaches in the history of UNLV volleyball.

In 1992 they led their Washington State team to a perfect 6-0 record (all sweeps), en route to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship title.

Fredrick was honored as Big Sky, Pacific Ten and Mountain West Coach of the Year, District VIII AVCA Coach of the Year and has over 500 career wins.

Cindy and Farokh have coached numerous All Conference and All Region student-athletes. They also mentored three All Americans, one Pac 10 and one Big Sky Players of the Year.

Cindy also coached high school, and won a State Championship with a 33-0 record at Davenport Central High School in Iowa, Linda Crum played on that team as an outside hitter and team captain.

Her Husband, Mashallah Farokhmanesh, has served as her top assistant through the collegiate seasons.

'Farokh' joined his National Team at the age of 17 and played for 7 years. He also served as team captain. He earned his Ed.D at BYU while playing for the Cougar volleyball team. Mashallah is known across the country for his teaching skills and passion for the game.
