From a very young age, I knew that volleyball was going to be a passion of mine. My passion strengthened as I advanced through club and began to create friendships with my teammates and bonds with coaches. As time went on my love for the sport only grew stronger.
Through my eight seasons at NORCO and the start of my recruiting process, hard work was something I was used to and I knew that I had to continue with it if I was going to play at the next level. Not being a 6’+ tall outside required me to apply myself and push through even more. I stuck with the recruiting process and even though it didn’t happen as quickly for me as it did for some of my teammates I was patient and just kept up with the recruiting steps that NORCO taught me and it paid off.
That would be my advice to others wanting to play - especially those who are shorter or feel that their recruiting process is taking longer - keep with it, work hard and trust the process. There are a lot of great schools and great coaches out there, you will find your fit. I’m so excited to be heading to McPherson College and I absolutely love the coach and program. I look forward to contributing to the team and of course, continuing my hard work ethic! Go Bulldogs!
