PrepVolleyball's Soph 79 recognizes players with outstanding high school varsity achievements - those players that made a significant impact on their high school team and at state. Amaya Messier, outside hitter for 16 Black, earned an Elite Honorable Mention!

Amaya "finished among the top 10 in Colorado’s 5A in kills last fall, recording 316 over 102 sets. The two-year starter added 72 total blocks, 35 aces and 102 digs and earned First Team All-Centennial League honors. 'Amaya is one of our most valuable players, and has been for the past two years,' said coach Terrence Miller. 'She will break hitting records at Cherokee Trail, and will challenge Colorado’s all-time kill records in her future. She is a formidable player both in our league and throughout the state of Colorado.'
